History

Founders Melissa Baker M.S., CCC-SLP, and Jennifer Blankenship, MSW, LISW, BCBA, each started their practices separately in late 2016 and shared office space in Chagrin Falls. While working side by side, Melissa and Jenn realized their philosophies aligned, and they shared a passion for going above and beyond for their clients. They quickly realized more families could be reached through collaboration, and they began combining their specialties into joint programs such as camps and parent groups. As their practice has grown, Bright Futures was relocated into Twinsburg in January of 2023 to expand their services and begin growing their team.

As Melissa and Jenn both specialize in working with neurodivergent children and teens, it was important to have a calm, sensory-friendly space and accommodating space. They continue to work tirelessly to ensure that families feel truly welcomed, valued, and understood. Every employee that is hired at Bright Futures also shares their philosophy and mission.
